PayPal is launching a stablecoin on the Ethereum network. If this news would have been announced in 2021, it might actually just be another news cycle of a big player getting involved with crypto. It's basically a transfer in my mind of the functionality that already exists on PayPal but it probably helps them with like cross border remittance faster transmission of money. More people hold a balance at PayPal if they can use this to broaden the number of assets that can be deposited and held in your financial institution.
