CPI Inflation Report - The New High Is Not In
The month-on-month median CPI that's calculated by the Cleveland Fed was 0.65%, which is about the third highest number we've had for the entire move. There's nothing wonderful about a 0.42% core, which is around a 5% annualized rate. My forecast for 2023 is still median inflation somewhere between 4 and 5.
