Diddy-in herself probably doesn't maintain something like that anymore. There's no Gore Vidal anymore. Stephen Fry is more of a TV personality, not a writer as his primary role. Life magazine was a big, beautiful, almost tabloid sized magazine with huge pictures and it really was life. It stopped in 2000. If you were interested in writing, I'd say going as late as the 90s, early 2000s. The man of letters was something to aspire to.
