And our brain is going to get the message due to satiety hormones and kind of the downstream effects of those hormones interacting with their receptors. But it takes time for these satiety signals to kick in. There is some research indicating that if we slow our eating rate intentionally, we can allow more time for that whole cascade of event to occur.
