Darth Vader vs Emperor Palpatine

Hannibal Lecter gives insights into the mind of Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs. I think Palpatine has to be seen as the ultimate bad guy of that series rather than Vader. Darth Vader comes, spoiler alert comes good in the end, ends up as a good force ghost. But he was really the one who said it all in motion, corrupted him all the rest of it.
