The Threat to Innovation in the Modern World

Since 1945, Western powers have sought to make the world more orderly and law governed. But they've done this by creating a succession on regulatory institutions. The idea is that you end up with a kind of uniform system of rules and governance. If we're not careful, we get wars like the one we're seeing at the moment in Ukraine. And it's also bad for the process of peaceful innovation and economic growth.
