Is There a Culture That's Doing It Well?
Do you feel like we're so lost in the sauce with beauty standards that there's like literally no culture that's doing this right? I want to have some examples to call out. But no, I don't know that I can point to like a culture that's really doing it well right now. Beauty as a source of power and control and oppression has been a thing since the earliest civilizations. It has been subsumed into cultures across the globe.
