The Wolf and the Chimera
Eric had been ranged in that forest on his father's logging truck, so as basically home him as a child. When he saw doodle scoot under the fence, he turned and rapidly drew and fired point blank about 25 feet into the chest of a seven foot plus bipeetle black wolf with a face more human than wolf. Eric has no memory of going to the fence or crossing the yard. That was our first encounter with a chimera.
