Taiwan's Mar-Jong Refusal to Legalize Gambling in Public

A referendum proposal to allow people age 65 and over to legally place bets on Mar-jong games in public will be held in a couple of weeks. The draft referendum proposal was submitted by the Taiwan Mar-jong Greatest Party. Brian: I don't really see the police going around, busting down doors for Mar-jong from place to place. And it looks to me like the Central Election Commission is likely to say this referendum does not meet the legal requirements for a referendum.
