Paul Otaki, Walt and Millie Woodward were among 276 Japanese Americans interned during World War II. A large outdoor memorial honors the 276 residents who were interned in D.C.'s Koreshia neighborhood. "It's just like, it's so hard to understand how for a huge percentage of the population, basic human rights for every single person is affront to them," Otaki says.
