Is Kitch an Aesthetic Category That Can Be Used for Politics?
i hear that general point, which is that hitler found a way to tap into the desires and the identity of the arian people living in germany. But i don't know if i would consider it kitch. Because the film making of lenny riefinstall, for instance, is complete knotsy propaganda. Actually, it's much more on the avant guard side of things. And there's a book by catherine a lugg that asserts that thre is actually a political category of kitch that she calls political kitch.
