Georgia o'keefe was married to photographer alfred steaglet in the early 20th century. The couple became close friends through steglitz's gallery and his connections with artists such as marsden hartley, arthur dove,. john marin and paul strand. This network of artists really helped to fluence her semi abstract style. But it was nature itself that was probably the biggest influence, and we're going to be talking about that next after a quick break.
