I've wanted to be an archaeologist since kindergarten. I bounced around a few labs at UNLV, which what's great about that university is that they have a designated building for archaeology laboratories. The professor specializes in experimental pottery work but also has graduate students who are doing leather tanning and architectural work. And she specializes in ancestral puebloan sites in northern Arizona - kind of the north room of the Grand Canyon.
