Horwits's Chateau

Fred horwitz wanted to build a gothic castle in the then unincorporated west hollywood. He enlisted the help of three wealthy tances to help him finance the project. The plans for the chateau included forty three rooms, a garden with a fountain, a lounge, a communal kitchen and an underground garage with room for 26 cars. It was named after the small street on which it resided - sunset or marmont. In total, these three girl bosses invested 350 thousand dollars towards building the chateaux.
