The Global South Is Rich in Resources
In modern times, we produce 50 % more of physical output per unit of area compared to the us. So do not think of the global south as poor. The global south is rich in resources. And had it not been rich in resources, there would have been no reason for the maritime countries of the global north undertake a very long and difficult journey half way round the world.
