The History of the CBI
Mr. Javi Dhamad is a former IPS officer and has had the honor of serving as the joint director of the Central Bureau of Investigation. CBI was created by an executive notification, issued by the government of India in April 1963. Today, we have CBI investigations in all kinds of cases being ordered by the government and the high courts and the Supreme Court as well,. So from your perspective, do you believe this function creep is affecting the operational effectiveness of the CBI? Do you see there are benefits to this? Or do you think there are risks associated with this?
