I could write a screenplay but I don't think I could write a novel. I can draw a picture but not well enough to be a storyboard artist. The thing that makes films completely unique is the combination of subjectivity and shared experience with the rest of the audience. Movies have this very, very unique mixture of the subjective and immersive but it is also shared. It doesn't happen with any other medium which is why it's fabulous and forever.
