Foucault's Interest in Art and Literature

Comi: Foucault wrote quite a lot about art in the 1960s. Why do we see a similar kind of interest, but then a waning of interest in writing about art as we do with literature? Comi: There are some parts of Foucault's writing on the visual arts which are very well known. He apparently had quite an extensive manuscript on this that late in life he talked to people about. The story goes that Foucault destroyed that manuscript before he died and so that manuscript doesn't exist.
