There was a very deeply ingrained belief that women don't like this stuff, or they're not good at the stuff. The counterculture also emerges in response to some of these trends. Can we think about where computing was in the late sixties? Iio go back to one thousand odyssey that comes out in 19th century. And there's still this kind of blindness to the fact that you have talent that is at different places in the life course with different care giving demands.
