The Welfare Costs of Building Height Restrictions
The only place really, I think, legitimate to restrict it is around airports. And also, you know, land is different in a coastal area as opposed to places that have earthquakes. So there are, of course, reasons to restrict the height. But it is not aesthetics, and it is certainly not economic. It's like censorship in the press. Market works, if you have symmetrical information.
