Mary intent was for what politics are going to be, the politics that govern humans live out their lives in the present and moving into the future. John is claiming that this new entity, this new heaven, this new earth will take over and be in place of an entity upn politics like that done we've seen from rome. The way you do it is the way jesus himself did it, and that is to say, no, you're not lord. I am. And that counterpossession of those two realities is a spiritual one, but it is manifestly a social and political one.
