Is There Effective Treatments for Pathological Lying?

Are there effective treatments for pathological lying? Can people get better with therapy if they're motivated to do so? And if so, what types of therapy work? Well, as a clinician, I tend to hold an optimistic view of change for people. But in our book, we talk about some research we did with therapists and then our own inferences of treatments. We think that cognitive behavioral therapy would be highly effective to treat and work with people who suffer from pathological lying.
