This was discovered more than 30 years ago as part of the Framingham study, which is a 70 year longitudinal study in the cardiac health. Some researchers even went so far to look at patients who had lung transplants and found that they lived way longer with larger lungs. But you don't need to get a lung transplant to share in this larger lung size and longer lifespan. You just need to breathe properly.
