The Act Approach to ACV

Act is about accepting your experience or making space for it as opposed to avoiding it. The term I use a lot in the book is the idea of unhooking from difficult thoughts and feelings. We can think of worrying, obsessing, ruminating as their forms of internal behaviour often called private behaviour. And we can interrupt those processes because they are not usually very effective.
