There are all of these microsecond glitches in our own experience where as you described there is no memory. There schisms and the very binding of our consciousness that it turns out when we will find out through further scientific investigation. It's almost like placing conjoined twins into the same body just conjoined at the level of the brain. I love one split brain experiment where one hemisphere was a Christian and the other was an atheist that's my favorite yeah.
