Choosing Your Own Adventure Kind of Chords

You can do chords and things that sound very big, but you'd sneakily leave out things like the third. And funny enough, this is where the listener's brain will fill in the notes that aren't there. Depending on how they'll feel, they'll hear that chord as dark and a bummer or an uplifting moment of victory. This is only possible by experience with music over and over. It works similarly when i'm writing music for sports. Like i wrote the formula one theme, and that has definite victory and loss within the majority of the piece. But then kind of you have these ending chords that its to choose your own adventure kind of chord.
