Froyd's History of Sexuality
Froyd's work was very central to the production of what we come to know as queer theory, especially with the publication of Michel Foucault's History of Sexuality. In order to understand why sexuality is so central to contemporary politics, modes of subjecthood, et cetera, we need to dissenter it. More than ever, we need this kind of dissentering of sexuality in a world in which both conservative politics and liberatory claims to rights reinforce sexuality as an immutable identity.
