Constantine was only baptized on his deathbed instead of at the moment of his conversion back in 312. Many saw baptism not as your entry into the faith, but as the seal of your journey of faith. As a catechumen or student of Christianity, Constantine was still considered a Christian throughout his reign. But what did this mean for everyone else?
