The Single Most Important Thing for Teachers With Complex Needs
Don't assume that children can't do things because they have additional, different needs. continually raise the bar of what you are expecting. And don't differentiate. I think am differentiation can completely stifle and put a seiling on kind of your expectations. Just because a child struggles in one a subject, doesn't mean that they're going to struggle in every subject. There is some power in this kind of starting every child, in starting your teaching with every one together,. Then scaffolding and supporting those children who need it.
