The tory party would open itself up to looking completely absurd if it was to try and change leader yet again. I remember one m p told me three times, very confidently, that he'd put his letter in about boris johnson. He never told me he'd taken a letter out. And i think it was just, i think his way of venting when he was really useo the comment. When he was really cross, he would pick up the phone to a journalist and say, i've put a letter in.
