The PE Ratio Is Not a Fundamental Characteristic
Don't treat the PE ratio as if it's a fundamental characteristic in its own right. There's no absolute standard for saying that any particular PE ratio is cheap or expensive. Even on a relative basis, a company with a lower PE or peg ratio is not necessarily cheaper than a company with higher ratios.
