Can an Engine Fire Get That Hot?
Tire material supports combustion and generates an intense fire, as long as there's oxygen available. The plane has two parking brake valves one for each side of the aircraft. There was work done to correct a problem with residual brak pressure caused by the parking brake control cable. Before taxiing or take off roll, pilots must insure that the parking brake is fully released.
