Why the Fed's Supply of Bonds Is So Low
The Fed has been enhancing the supply of bonds in the open market, which you would expect to cause yields to go up. They've gone way down because there's a flight to quality that people are worried about banks. And so as they fly to think, they go out and buy the bonds themselves rather than holding a bank's assets.
