The Subconscious and the Intention

Sam Harris says we are creative explainers and minds can be represented in brains as neural firings. We create knowledge after all, and this active creation is something we do not understand well. He would deny that we do any such thing because strictly on his account, we don't exist. It's a kind of justificationist foundationalism. This is the self, this neural firing, if you like, is one description at one level of what a mind is.
