Londeman: Are we vulnerable to manipulation on social media in the modern world? Londeman and his team studied twitter users. They found that people who interact with these types of campaigns are a very small group of very active people locked deep inside echo chambers. And so somewhat paradoxically, these campaigns tend to have their deepest effect for a small group of people inside echo chamber. Those people already have such extreme views that when someone tries to change their view, it can't become any more extreme.
