There is a crucial difference between the fundamental laws of physics and the emergent higher level description that we use to go through our everyday lives. In both equations, in both universes, you follow the laws of physics. Whether or not you would like to speak about those universes in terms of free will has nothing to do with the nature of the fundamental law of physics. This is called compatibleism. It has to do with how we talk about human beings at the higher emergentlevel.
