Is There a Need for Performance Tests?

I like it so much better than developers just maybe using a CSS selector or combing through X-path. It also makes code way more readable. If you've got like, enter into this field and click button, that is way better to read than reading long strings ofCSS locators or X-paths. So there is not a lot of need for performance tests on the other side. Accessibility testing should be important to everyone, but yeah, time and again, I see that people say, yeah, this is only internal and nobody needs accessibility here.
