If you're not paying the mortgage, that your parents are taking this on, as far as a lender is concerned, you're still technically on the loan as a co signer. This may mean that you have to look at different kinds of homes. The lenders are going to want to know that you have plenty in the bank and you have plenty coming in as income to pay both mortgages.
