The Different Types of UV
Sterilisation really means you're getting down to practically no pathogen there. So that's normally reducing the number of bacteria by at least a factor of a million. Whereas disinfection, we tend to consider if you take it down by about 100 or 1000, you probably disinfected it. It would be better to get a product that sterilises rather than disinfects. The one place where it is used very successfully with UV is water. We drink every day has probably been sterilised by UV.
