In May, the number of self-employed workers went down by more than 400,000. That tells you something about it's probably easier to get that sort of a job now because it's a very good job market, right? The employment pay population ratio is at 80.7%, still higher than at any point between 2001 and 2022. And as if you have a strong employment backdrop, you have people working, you have better consumption.
