Foucault's Exploration of the French Revolt

Foucault provides a really quite detailed reading of this, which he doesn't discuss anywhere else in his writings. He engages with a debate that was going on in French historical discussions of time between a Catholic French historian Roland Musnyer and a Soviet Marxist historian Boris Porschner. So Foucault intervenes in this engagement between these historians. But while most of their work is what generated the revolt in the first place, Foucault is actually interested in how did the French state put down his rebellion?
