The End of Nero
Nero fled to a suburban villa. His horse is startled by a corpse in the road. He asks for help from his freedman, and he eventually summons up the courage and runs a blade into himself. A military officer turns up just as he's dying, and nero says, you're late. Matthew Suaturnius: "I think it sums up his performative, stagy, drama obsessed, self dramatizing approach"
