The Rise of Sustainable Consumption in Europe
In the US people are loathed to think about less consumption in general. I'm curious if you find that there's any examples of global North countries where it's not such a big ask. You do see a lot more momentum and interest in Europe, in demand side questions around consumption and sufficiency than you see in the US. This is indicated by the priorities and research, by the papers that are coming out. The latest sixth assessment report of the IPCC for the first time has a demand chapter which outlines lifestyle changes that would be beneficial for climate and for well-being.
