The Donut Effect: A Look at the Demand for Office Space in America
Academics Arun Ramani and Nicholas Bloom wrote a paper last year called the Donut Effect. They found that in large US cities, real estate demands shifted from central business districts to lower density suburbs and exerbs. The opposite appears to be happening in the United Kingdom where in London's West End vacancy rates at Rosalowas 3% would even less space being available in high-end modern buildings.
