Mullins: Some philosophers complain that the relational theory of time involves ike circularity or some kind of incoherence. He says there is a problem with standard definitions of events, which already presuppose the existence of time. Mullins: I don't thing it ultimately matters which view you prefer, because on either account, time began to exist on a substantivelist view.
