The Importance of Parental Wisdom in Investing
I grew up in a really large family where the oldest one was 18 years older than I am. And my parents had six children of their own and adopted three. The result was by the time I came along, I was the product of benign neglect. So imagine this is like in when I'm in first and second grade, so very, very early 60s. When I spent all this time playing with bunker rainbow machines, which were the old versions of stock quote machines. They had this little cap-thode ray tube that was, you know, maybe three inches by three inches. You could press these buttons; letters and numbers would come up. But it was really fun to play
