In the 90s and early 2000s, all that anybody wanted to talk about was globalization. And I think in retrospect, that was less about actual market convergence and more about a political and ideological project of undercutting wages and unions. Many guests on our show have proposed we stop economic growth and the constant pursuit of growth to address climate change. How bad would stopping economic growth would stopping overproduction and waste before quote unquote the economy?
