The way that you guys teacs the squat works primarily a the hips and leaves, but also works the ham strings. But i've also heard counter arguments where they go into how the high ba squad and the front squad will also work other groups. Why is it better just to do your want? Because my one works everything, and it allows you to lift heavier weight over a longer and more effective range of motion than theirs does. So what you have to remember is, why are we squatting? Are we doing quads? When we squat, we're getting strong now, right?"
