How to Engage Practices, Type by Type
In my tradition, practices are engaging the presence. And so what we're finding is i want contact with the divine. I think they're just sort of like am tools in order to help us to be in the presence of the divine. The down stream practices for you are going to be the practices for each type that are really natural and easy. There are other practices which are upstream. These are ones that you would probably avoid if you had the option. But there's good things in there for you, because it's challenging your ego to swim up stream. You have to fight for that character.
