Sheldon's Story
Sheldon now lives outside of Fort Lauderdale, but my few memories of him are from when he lived in upstate New York. I remember that he worked at a local prison, that he smoked cigars,. That he looked a little like my father, but was hunched, like the world was weighing down on him. And he always wore this expression on his face that seemed to say, you got to be kidding me. You're keeping okay. He was happy to hear from you on his 80th birthday. Yeah, well, it didn't call me on my 85th though.
